Internal flights
Posted by chezza under Transport
We have started a group booking for the internal flight from Bangkok to Samui. The plan is we leave Bangkok on the Monday at 11:30 and arrive in Samui at 12:35. From there we’ll take a boat straight to the resort on Koh Tao. We’ll arrange pickup from the hotels in Bangkok to the airport on monday, as well as the boat so you won’t need to organise anything for leaving Bangkok and getting to Koh Tao.
The internal flight will be AU$120, and it needs to be paid for 6 weeks before departure. We are fine to cancel anyone up until 6 weeks beforehand. Here is the list of everyone booked in for an internal flight, let me know if you’re not on the list and want to be.
Coming back
The way to Koh Tao will be organised by us, but everyone will have to find their own way back to Bangkok as people will all be leaving at different times and heading to different destinations. There are about 6 boats a day from Koh Tao back to Koh Samui (about $10) and Charm Churee will be able to organise these for you (as can anyone else on Koh Tao). This can be done while we’re there, you don’t need to organise in advance. Bangkok Air has loads of flights back every day, and you can book these online.
Becc has just alerted me to an awesome pass from Bangkok Air for those wanting to head to Cambodia, China, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, or Singapore after the wedding. It’s called the Discovery Airpass and you basically buy “coupons” for at least 3 flights - perfect if you want to head to Angkor Wat or elsewhere afterwards.

Discovery Air Pass: This air pass allows travel on three different Asian Airlines: Bangkok Airways, Siem Reap Airways and Lao Airlines. This group offers a very reasonable fare for destinations throughout Asia including the countries of Cambodia, China, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, and Singapore. Domestic segments cost $50 US per coupon and most international segments are available for only $80 US. Some routes for more distant travel are $150.

hey guys, I am trying to book a flight from Samui to Bangkok on Bangkok Air, but it doesn’t look like that is an option…I have tried twice now…is there another airline you recommend?
Can’t believe it’s in 7 weeks…we are sooo excited.

There are some quite good ideas here. Cannot wait to put some of these into action. Its quite heading to bring good vibrations wherever the vibrations need to be
